- Recite 9 Memorares for an increase of vocations to religious life and the priesthood, or more specifically for one of the religious orders in our diocese. (See list below)
- Recite the 10th Memorare in thanksgiving.
- This is a novena that St. Mother Teresa of Culcutta prayed often in emergencies or in times of great need. (Known also as the “flying novena”)
Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother;
to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.

RELIGIOUS VOCATION DISCERNMENT GROUPS
We were blessed by Fr. Frank Brown’s (St Brendan, Hilliard) vocation story at our Tuesday meeting at The Pontifical College Josephinum. Fr. Brown, like many young men, didn’t understand the meaning of a vocation/calling but after a breakup in college, he was lunged closer to God. The ups and downs in the years following college led him to do many things that often caused him to say to himself “Who does this?” Like walking 4 miles to and from daily mass. As he continued to long for more silence and less noise in his life, he was able to hear God more clearly. God was so gentle and patient with Fr. Brown as he discerned the calling for his life. Fr. Brown concluded his talk by sharing ‘I am at peace!’ Not only is he a parochial vicar at St. Brendan, but he also runs the Melchizedek and Avow groups, for young men and women discerning the call to Priesthood or Religious Life.
May God Bless Fr. Brown today and always! #Pray4priests
