The Barnabas Ministry
The Barnabas Ministry
Providing relief for our diocesan priest

Have you ever heard of The Barnabas Ministry? It is a true gift to our Diocesan priests. Fr. Blau, O.P. created this ministry knowing diocesan priests need to get away on retreat once a year, go on vacation and avoid burnout. As a true Dominican, Fr. Blau is an itinerant preacher and knows it is an honor to serve in this capacity. ‘Our Catholic priests are the pens that God uses to write his love letter to us.’ Through diocesan subsidy, this ministry allows Fr. Blau to cover for our often spread thin priests. Please pray for this beautiful ministry and Fr. Blau and all our priests.

Our first Serra Club of North Columbus meeting of ’22 was filled with many graces!

St. Rose of Lima Chapel at The Josephimum

Our first Serra Club of North Columbus meeting of ’22 was filled with many graces! We were blessed by Fr. Jeff Rimelspach offering Holy Mass in St. Rose of Lima’s chapel within The Pontifical College Josephinum. We inducted several new Serra Club members who are excited to join us in our mission: #praying4vocations! Being within the walls of this seminary enhanced the meaning of our mission! Please join us and pray for vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life!

The wisdom shared by Fr. Brett Brannen at our December meeting was truly spirit-filled.

Fr Brett Branne

The wisdom shared by Fr. Brett Brannen at our December meeting was truly spirit-filled. Our Seminarians at The Pontifical College Josephinum are blessed to have Father as their Spiritual Director. Do you know someone discerning? Buy them this book by Fr. Brannen for Christmas! https://vianneyvocations.com/…/to-save-a-thousand-souls/ Fr. Brannen left us many pearls of wisdom to ponder on and we wanted to share a few with you: ‘God can do anything, to anyone, at anytime!’ ‘If you want to help people die well then you must help people live well!’ ‘Jesus is always coming to us; in history, in mystery and in majesty!’ ‘Love is a bright light which truth can pass. Truth isn’t a philosophy yet a person. The person is Jesus.’
